Sourcetree 2.3.5 fails with an error on launch in Windows 10

Question

After installing SourceTree  2.3.5 , on launch it fails to start with this error (screenshot). 
When i close this window and relaunch , nothing appears although i can see the process running in task manager.

Any one else facing similar issues in windows 10 ?

It worked on first launch for me , later launches - it flashes a suberror window and nothing else appears.

Hi Rohith! This is a bug and it was reported at  bug SRCTREEWIN-7897. Some users have shared their solutions there.

Make sure that your local installation of Git for Windows is up-to-date. You can manually update to the latest version of Git for Windows, and everything everything should be back to normal. You can also update the embedded Git through the options-menu.
