SourceTree sidebar 'Branches' folder no longer showing content

My 'Branches' folder has completely collapsed. I cannot show/hide content even though I have over a hundred branches in there. How do I fix this?

I am seeing this same behavior.  I was running a slightly outdated version of SourceTree, and upgraded to 2.7.1 (159) and am still seeing this behavior.

I have a "bug" folder in my sidebar that used to show all the "bug/{ticket number}" Git branches I have.  I also have a similar "feature" folder that is working as expected.  The "bug" sidebar item shows a folder icon, but no disclosure triangle.

Adding a new branch under my "bug/{...}" path has "fixed" the issue for now.

I did something similar, created a new branch (right-click on sidemenu Branches > new branch). I did "fix" the issue, but if I delete that useless branch, the Branches section hides itself again without showing the Hide/Show button. I can repeat the process to fix/break it repeatedly.

I'm currently on version 3.1.2 (216) for MacOS.
