SourceTree keeps showing login window after uninstall? [WIN10]

sebrk September 10, 2017

So I uninstalled SourceTree but I keep getting a login window poping up every now and then. It just happens as I do other stuff unrelated to developing. It's like it somehow didn't uninstall correctly and has a service running which I find weird.

I even reinstalled it just to uninstall it again to see if it somehow removed things again to no avail. Also tried with CCleaner.

Anyone had this? This is on Windows 10 btw.

Hi Sebastian, a clean uninstall should fix that, please follow the steps:

  1. Wipe SourceTree preferences
  2. Uninstall SourceTree (if it shows on the App&Features list)
  3. Backup then delete the directory below before proceeding with next step
    • Navigate to C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local and delete SourceTree & SourceTree-Settings folder
    • Navigate to C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Atlassian and delete all SourceTree Files/Folder.

Hope that helps!

Ana
