Hello,

I have installed SourceTree in a Windows 2012 VM but I can"t log in using my usual credentials that work perfectly on other machines

The error message says "Something went wrong while attempting to validate your credentials."

Is the a way to get more information on what is going wrong?

Hi

I'm guessing you get this error during registration? If so this relies on Internet Explorer to render the pages. Try using Internet Explorer directly to login at https://id.atlassian.com if that works then the registration step should work.

If not please try adjusting your IE settings as follows:

  1. open Internet Explorer
  2. open the Developer tools, f12
    1. set the Browser Mode 10
    2. set the Document Mode Standards
  3. open Cog/Internet options
    1. ensure the following settings are enabled
    2. Misc/Access data sources across domains
    3. Misc/Allow META_REFRESH
    4. Scripting/Active Scripting
