Keyboard shortcuts in new confirmation dialogs?

Is there's any way to progress though confirmation dialogs using a keyboard shortcut? Alt-O doesn't work for OK, Y does nothing and Enter cancels the action instead of confirming. How can I confirm without needing to use the mouse?

It depends on the default selection of the dialog. Tab changes the selection focus and space bar confirms that selection as if a mouse click occurred.

Yes that is a solution, it's a bit more taxing having to keep an eye on the focus and pressing tab an arbitrary number of times (at the moment the magic number is 3). Pity we can't just press 'y' or 'enter' like regular dialogs.

Wait, I just remembered tabbing through controls. Still, seems like a step back in usability vs native dialogs.
