How can I make Sourcetree start with different settings?

Deleted user March 23, 2018

Hi all,

I wanted to make Sourcetree start with different settings. This is because everytime I edit the user.config file in

C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Local\Atlassian\SourceTree.exe_Url_SomeHashString\2.4.8.0

and start Sourcetree, it overwrites the value for the setting "AllowModifyConfigFiles" from "False" (which I previously entered and saved) to "True". Because of another issue I described here

https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Sourcetree-questions/How-can-I-prevent-Sourcetree-from-overwriting-my-gitconfig/qaq-p/757138

I want it to be set to "False".

Is there anyway I can make Sourcetree use a different config-file than the user.config, for example, with a parameter added to the shortcut's file path?

Best regards and thank you all.

PS: I also found a second config file called SourceTree.exe.config which is located in

C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Local\SourceTree\app-2.4.8

but it does not really seem to do anything.

Hello! There isn't currently a way to do this. Sorry.
