Source Tree version 3.4.3.0, attempting to connect my github account.
Hosting service: Github
Preferred Protocol: HTTPS
Authentication: Basic.
I went to my github developer settings and generated a new PAT. However, I am getting the error:
"Failed to check login for user. Username/email not found"
Did you try to log out and then log back into your GitHub account?
I know it sounds weird, but I had a somewhat similar problem (requesting authentication when I wanted to push changes) and that's what I did after seeing that GitHub recommended this kind of little handling.
(Potentially same kind of issue as : Cannot login my Github account through sourcetree)
