Default commit mode

Hey!

How can I set the default commit mode from stage changes to selected file?

Open Preferences, switch to the 'Git' tab and un-check the box 'Use the staging area'.

The split view in the file status window will go away, and commit will always default to selected files instead of what's in the index.
