Commit and push a change (Git) fails at step 2 (commit)

Deleted user Jun 12, 2018

Added a file to the source directory, and want tot stage, commit and push that file to the remote repository. I follow this help page:

It fails at step 2. The commit button and also the commit option at the context menu don't do anything. Even not an error message. Just nothing happens.

I got the file from unstaged to staged files. Then I need to commit and push. Does anybody now why this won't work?

Because of different version, I did not see the message box. It is all in one screen. The Commit and Push are successful now. This incident is solved.
