Hi Guys,
Is it possible to hide/delete a question from Atlassian answers?
Thanks,
Sanu P Soman
really? i never seen such an option hehe this may be cause i never was looking for it.
i just checked on some of my own questions...edit close ok...but no delete.
comments direktly under my answers can be deleted...but no other stuff. can you re-check this in your own questions/answers?
We can only delete our own questions
update:
ok i just checked...also other peoples comments on other peoples answers could be deleted.
We can delete only those questions which have no answers .
i see.. thanks for the info :)
Delete is possible:
Moderate->Delete
You can edit is and delete all the necessary contents then close it .
Hi Sanu,
We are currently changing the permissions for Answers administrators, and I'm not sure who our current admins are for this reason, but only dedicated Answers admins will be able to actually delete questions whereas depending on reputation users can still close questions. You can read a list of the priveleges, (based on reputation), here: https://answers.atlassian.com/karma/
If you really need to delete a question, my recommendation would be to flag it for the admins, (Moderate > Report), and leave a comment for the admins on the question stating the reasons why you want it deleted. Selecting the "Abusive/Offensive" option will get admin attention the quickest. I wouldn't recommend abusing this process, but in the event you really need to get a question deleted then this would be the way to go.
All the best,
John
