How to edit or delete shared GreenHopper contexts by users who are no longer around

Mat Kramer January 10, 2012

Is there any way to do this other than attempting to log in as that user? Our context list is very long, and many of them come from former employees. Thanks.

Perhaps install the Jira SU plugin.

It's a manual install to get it fully working.

It's a must have in general for Jira administration

Better solution would be to install the Groovy Script Runner

Once installed

  1. Log in as an admin user
  2. Go to Plugins -> Other -> Builtin Scripts
  3. Select Switch to different user
  4. Enter the user id you want to switch to under User ID, eg johnsmith
  5. Click Run
  6. Click the here link in the resulting text to assume the other user's identity
  7. Click Agile -> Planning Board
  8. Select the Context from the Context dropdown
  9. Click the Context Name dropdown and select Manage
  10. Click Delete
