I am considering to use SourceTree for my programming courses.
This requires installation on our computer lab machines (Windows 7) by the university IT services They install one master machine and then push that image to all machines in the lab. Students do not have admin rights on the lab machines.
How do I correctly handle SourceTree registration in this setting?
Hans
There's a file called sourcetree.license in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Atlassian\SourceTree which gets created when you register SourceTree. You can either automatically distribute that to the right location, or you can put a copy of this file (you can register generally for the course) on a fileserver somewhere and tell students to use the Import License option in the Registration page if they get prompted.
