Slack App Integration Alert Updates

Question

I have slack integrations with my opsgenie. The state of my alert may change, Eg. If I have an alert on temperature, I'd like to display updates to the alert in my slack channel without generating new alerts. ie. Update the temperature on the existing slack alert message.
I've tried updating the original opsgenie alert but this does not flow through. I've tried selecting the "updateMessage" checkbox on the opsgenie slack integration but this only creates new messages when I update the description. The alert priority has similar behaviour to what I'd like

Does anyone know if this is possible or has a workaround ?

This is Mona here, happy to help :)

As I understand, you would like to get Slack notifications for Alert Message & Description updates done on Opsgenie. Please let me know if my understanding is correct.

If the above is the use case, then your understanding is correct, you need to select the options UpdateMessage, UpdatePriority, UpdateDescription within the Slack Integration. Please see the screenshot below:

Once this is selected, if any update is made to these properties on the alert in Opsgenie then it will be updated on Slack as well. This update will be displayed as shown in the below screenshot:
