I am looking for documentation that explains and/or provides examples on how to use a parameter from an Opsgenie Action in an OEC script. Any personal tips or suggestions are also welcomed.

Hey @Jerald Sirmans

The most relevant documentation for your question would be the first link: https://support.atlassian.com/opsgenie/docs/manage-actions-with-oec/

This document provides a comprehensive guide on how to manage actions with Opsgenie Edge Connector (OEC). It explains how OEC operates and how you can customize actions by using scripts. It also provides a step-by-step guide on how to configure an action, which includes how to pass parameters to the OEC script.

However, for a complete understanding, I would recommend going through all these documents as they provide a holistic view of how Opsgenie's actions work with OEC. The link below details how to setup an action channel with OEC and the third link provides a list of all downloadable files related to OEC.

As for personal tips, it's important to ensure that your OEC is correctly installed and configured for your Opsgenie account. Also, when writing your scripts, remember to test them thoroughly to avoid any execution errors.

Best,
Rafa
