Hello,
A person from our organization created a free site with company domain and we managed to take the ownership in order to perchase a plan and migrate our server data to cloud.
Due to the fact, the current cloud site was used, we would like to reset and delete all data to begin with default setup.
I found the following article Reset and delete all data from your cloud site | Atlassian Cloud | Atlassian Documentation - https://confluence.atlassian.com/ which does not apply to Free version.
Is there a way to reset the whole setup in current free plan and subscriping to a paying plan with clean setup?
Thanks
Hi @Sutha welcome to the Community. I'm pretty sure you would go through that same process, even though the article doesn't say it's for the free version.
I found this article where someone wanted to start over and it looks like that was a recommended solution.
People also suggested cancelling the free site, waiting for it to time out, and then starting all over again.
Atlassian Support was also suggested for helping you reset it. Would the Migrations Assistant let you overwrite the data that's there with your current Server data? That's what I did. I had the free site for testing, then wiped out the data with the Migration Assistant.
Hope that helps.
Hello Dan,
Thanks for your answer.
For sure with the link that I mentionned, the option for delete is not available in free plan. I believe that option will be available after changing the current free plan to paid one!
I haven't yet tried to use the migration assistant as I am still in the first assessment phase of migration because this is my first experience with products and migration.
Therefore I cannot say if such option is available in migration assistant.
I will address this point with Atlassian suppour team after plan subscription if i cannot still delete the contents.
Appreciate much your response.
Thanks
Sutha
