The new interface's list view shows values for a particular column as "9.6.1 +1" instead of showing "9.6.1 9.7.0". There is plenty of room to show both values. I also have other columns with multiple pre-defined values selected. If I could change the column width this might help. Or a switch that lets me show all the data instead of arbitrarily truncating it.
I understand that in some cases these may be long entries, and that is true for one of my other columns. However, it is frustrating not to be able to see both values when they would easily fit. So I can switch to the Detail view or stay in the List view - in both cases scrolling through the entries one at a time to see the desired values.
"Fix versions" is the column I use the most.
Suggestions to work around this problem?
It's incredible how this basic function, that is important for efficiency of everyday use, is missing in Jira. Changing width of columns (and remembering that) is such an obvious user's requirement - why is it not implemented right away?
Quality Center has had it for probably over 10 years, if not more ...
to the best of my knowledge, you can't adjust the column width on this view, but kindly see this related question for workarounds and alternatives.
Best,
Hannes
