Change Insight attributes in jira via postfunction

Harald Mayer May 9, 2022

Hello all,

As you know, you can take data from an Insight Object via insight postfunction and insert it into a Target Custom Field.

Is this also possible the other way round?
So that I can change my Insight database by using a Jira issue?

I have not found any settings for this.
Only a fixed value, but that is not suitable for me.

Hello,

yes there is different way; for example you can use groovy script or simply use "Set the value of an object attribute with a predefined value" in workflow

In my example, you will update the attribute "MODE" of the select object in the custom field Related Host to value "Degraded".

Hey Julian!
can you help me with the groovy script?

the option with "predefined value" will not work bc the value is not predefined.

It's depending of what you need to update and the source value. Groovy is not easy in the beginning. Now i'm more experienced but i can tell you it's could be very long to have exactly what you want.
