I'm evaluating Jira as an alternative to my current APM tool.
Objective
In this other APM tool it adds the "work effort estimates" of each issue / bug / task / subtask (Deliverable) assigned to Iteration (i.e., sprint). So we assign the issues / bugs et al, to all future iterations (sprint) in order to get a rough order of magnitude end date. I.e., the tool calculates 25hrs per week per programmer, to that's 100hrs of work per 2 week iteration for 2 programmers. So based on priority we move each the deliverables to the iterations until they all assigned and that gives us a rough delivery date. We've been doing this for 20yrs and it's never failed us.
Question:
1. Is there something similar in Jira?
2. Can I display the accumulated Original Estimates at the sprint level?
Thank you in advance for any responses!
Cheers, James
