Automation for creating issues

Hi,

Does anyone have a way to automate issues-- is there a faster way to populate your stories into JIRA? We're working on multiple projects, so when we initially create the board for a project, we will have to manually input 100+ issues (stories and features) into JIRA. Is there a software or better method to do this type of work?

Hi @Steven Nguyen ,

You can achieve this by using 3rd party app. By using JIRA Command Line Interface (CLI) app you can create multiple issues in a specific project or in a different project.

You need to create a CSV file which contains all field values like summary, project key, system field values, and custom field values.

You need to combine the runFromCsv and creatIssue action together and then run the action. You can field some examples from the Examples page and please go through the How to use runFromCsv page for example.

Regards,
Kishore Kumar Gangavath.
