Cannot choose an assignee

I've the problem, that I cannot choose an assignee.

When I want to change or select an assignee for a ticket the popup with all possible assignees opens and I can click on one, but then the popup with the assignees reloads and popup again. So the assignee could not be selected and the focus stays only on this field and cannot be changed and I cannot do any further action.

Is this a bug or do I make something wrong anywhere?

Sounds like a bug.  But it might be a browser instead of Jira.

Could you try a different browser?  Could you check if other people have the problem?

If it's the same for all browsers, and everyone gets the problem, then what browser (and version) and version of Jira are you on?

The error appears in Chrome and Firefox (Windows and Safari). Even another user has the same problem, we tried it out with two different users and got still the same problem.
