Add a new value to a Select List field dynamically.

Is it possible through automation or another mechanism to add a new value in the options of a Select List field dynamically?

Based on a RegEx that I will use in the Summary field, I want to extract a part of that text and add it as a new option in a Select List field.

That is not possible sorry, currently automation deals with setting values, not manipulating configuration of things such as custom field.
