How to group fields together?

Arnaud Marquis April 28, 2022

I am looking for a way to group fields togheter in an issue.

For example, I would like to have a multiple-value field consisting of 2 (or more) separate fields that are treated like a collection.

For example, consider a field collection named "Accessories" which would be made of 2 custom fields (one text field, and one number field). The text field would be named "REFERENCE" and the number field would be "NUMBER OF ITEMS". So the entire "Accessories" field could hold the following information:

  • REFERENCE : AAAAA1
  • NUMBER OF ITEMS: 2

  • REFERENCE : AAAAA2
  • NUMBER OF ITEMS: 5

  • REFERENCE : BBBBB1
  • NUMBER OF ITEMS: 3

  • ETC.

This is basically a multi-value of grouped/bundled/collection of fields.

I could find no option to do that in Jira which I find a bit surprising. Any idea?

Hi @Arnaud Marquis

Out of the box you will not be able to accomplish this. I recommend you look into the marketplace for other options.  I've seen some plugins that do this.
