How do I create a Weighted Shortest Job First set-up on my JPD project

I want to create a Weighted Shortest Job First set-up on my JPD project but I am struggling:

Fields:
  • CUSTOMER / BUSINESS VALUE
  • TIME CRITICALITY
  • RISK REDUCTION / OPPORTUNITY ENABLEMENT

Field set-up
  • 'Select field'
  • 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21

Calculated field:

{CUSTOMER / BUSINESS VALUE} + {TIME CRITICALITY} + {RISK REDUCTION / OPPORTUNITY ENABLEMENT} / EFFORT

It looks like the calculated field cannot be calculated using 'Select field' options. Any tips on how to work around this 🙏 👨‍💻

Hi @Stephane De Keerle

I think you can achieve your desired outcome by adding weight to each value in the selected field?

The weight of a value can then be used in calculations.

We do WSJF as well.  I had to add the values as "weights".  Then it will calculate.  I meant to send this in as a bug.  You can't use the number field type to calculate.  JDP thinks its text and not a number.  For example, if the number is 5 it will calculate as if it is 1.
