Hi,
I am trying Jira for myself for the first time to have more understanding. I am discovering a lot of new things that I did not find at workplace. I created an issue from gmail and I do see an issue id generated for the same. I am able to open the issue directly and work on it too. However, this issue is directly not visible on the project/ board.
I could not find the solution online or in this community as well. Thanks in advance for your help or input.
Thanks, @Hannah McKenzie. I could find it in the backlog.
I am able to create a new issue from Gmail. Do we have a way to update the existing Jira issue from Gmail?

At the moment, the ability to update the issue from Gmail doesn't exist, but we're always taking feedback onboard, so perhaps it will be a future feature. In the meantime, we do have the Atlassian Cloud for Gmail add-on which you might find very handy. (You can read more about it here.)

Hi @Kiran ,
I suppose it is connected to Board Filter. You can go to Board -> Configure where you can find Filter Query and Saved Filter. This should give you thoughts why the issue is filtered out from the board.

Thanks for the reply @Aleksandr Zuevich. I could solve the issue. The issues got into the Backlog, and I was looking at the current Sprint. Given that we cannot assign Sprint to an Issue from Gmail, they were sitting in the Backlog. Anyhow, thanks for the response.
