Hi there,
Do you know if it's possible to run e.g. Jira SW as a Datacenter and JSM as a Server on the same environment?
What would be differences between only DC or SW deployment.
If no, why it wouldn't be possible?
Thanks,
Mike
@Michal Patoprsty , no. We actually tried it and the server license was not accepted in parallel with the JSW data center license.
In server only, it is a single node deployment. In DC, it can be single node or multi node deployment.
You could run two separate installations on the same machine, yes.
But they would be separate services, with different urls and different projects and issues, and, of course, separate licences - one DC for the Jira service running as a DC node and a second Server licence for the other Jira service running on its own

Yes but that would mean that if I want to use the same addon for both installations I have to buy them on each instance.

Correct. And you will need to match licences with the core Jira they are added to - number of users and type of service DC/server
