When a user tries to access an existing page for which he has no access rights the 404 page is shown. Why is this?
There should rather be a message, that the user has no access to the page.

That can happen with proxies, poorly configured web-servers or core installation files with the incorrect permissions set. There's a standard "you can't see this page because it's deleted or you don't have permission" built into Confluence, but users will get a 404 if it can't be served up by Confluence. What url is showing when someone lands on this, and how does it compare to your base url in Confluence?

I expect a 401 instead of 404 if user has no access to the page.
