Is there an available workaround to importing spaces from a newer version of confluence to an older version?
I have spaces in confluence version 7.10.2
That I need to import into a confluence on version 6.13.9
From the documentation I've read so far, I know backwards compatibility is not supported.
I was hoping someone could share a potential workaround.
Or definitively tell me that what I'm trying to accomplish is impossible without just upgrading the older version. We do not have an active license to do so.
Atlassian says no. I have had some success going from one major version to another in that version say 6.13 to 6.12. I am not sure this will be the case going from 7 to 6. Is all you have to do is edit the export version in the xml (the xml reports the export version - use a text editor to change it to the target version) You will be doing it at your own risk and I would recommend doing it on a test instance first to see if it works.
