Why do I save a template after editing but it doesn't save?

I'm trying to create templates from a series of pages. The first template saved after I copied the page's content over to the newly created template, no problem.

Thereafter, some templates that I've created and saved do not appear under templates or anywhere else. The 1 version that 'stayed' won't go further than 2 steps of editing before ignoring saves.

Please help?

I've had that too. Templates can not contain images. If you copy an image on it and save, the template isn't saved.

You have to add the image to a confluence page, and then include that image in your template.

Could that be the reason?

@Patrick Vanhoof I had the same problem and you solved the mystery. Do you know if Atlassian are going to fix this? We didn't received even a notification and all the work on the table was gone.

Tables do not work as well.
