Why am I unable to add any hyperlinks in the body of an article in Confluence?

This may well be a known issue or perhaps it's something I'm doing wrong on my end. However, following the standard process of adding a hyperlink to text in a confluence article is not working for me. I've followed this same process hundreds of times with success up until yesterday:

However, when I click out of the hyperlink box, the highlighted text is not hyperlinked. I attempted to publish the article thinking that when published the hyperlink may appear but with no luck.

Hi @Yehudah Rodman Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Did you happen to fix this issue or still facing it ? I was also having same issue, but after entering the URL and pressing Enter/return key, the link was working (ie the text was getting hyperlinked)
