Turn off Sign In / Create and Account

Hello -

Is there a way to turn off or remove the Sign In icon on the upper right of the main screen for Anon users? I ask because I keep getting requests to create an account from Anon users and I don't want to do that. I just want them to see the Wiki (space) in read only mode. Any thoughts / advice on this?

As far as I know, I don't think that is possible because this icon is a fixed component of the page.
