Hi all,
as our user tried to login this morning he was not able to do so.
He could enter his user and password, is then asked for two factor, entered the two factor number and then all failed.
The error message was:
There is a problem with the relay state which is used for your SAML single sign on configuration.
Can you please help, this user urgently needs access.
Greetings,
Martina Ludwig
Hello @M_ Ludwig & @Tobias Müller
Seems there was an outage related to Atlassian access for 2FA.
Ref. https://access.status.atlassian.com/incidents/ldbxdggpncl1
Same since today also in our organization. Using Atlassian Cloud (Jira & Confluence) already multiple users with this issue. (see Screenshot)

Hi,
we do not use http in any case.
The Problem was indeed with two factor authentication. Once i deactivated it for that user he could logon without problems.
So the question to clarify is why is this error shown if this particular user has two factor activated and why is only this user affected and why is it not working all of a sudden while it was working well last week for that user.
Greetings,
Martina Ludwig

Hi all,
in the meantime, we have a second user with a suddenly non working two factor authentication. Until friday last week everything was fine with it.
So please assist in solving this weird behaviour.
Greetings,
Martina Ludwig

Relay State - it's sometimes an issue or always. This is what we used to get in the previous organizations with Service Now - in the SSO configuration, you have an option to enable the relay state. Also, ask you SSO provider to verify if any schema is with http:// than https://
