Hi folks,
I am having an issue where I configured both a read-only LDAP-Sync (AD) and confluence internal directory. Now I'm trying to create new groups in the internal directory which works fine (there are no groups with the same name in the LDAP). But if I want to add an LDAP user to that newly created group it fails, confluence is just not doing anything. Adding users from the internal directory to said group works as expected though.
Now I am guessing it's just some configuration that is preventing this rather than strange behaviour but I cannot find the right way to do it. If someone could give me a hint, that'd be awesome!
Thanks and regards, David
Hi David,
Double check which method you use to integrate your Confluence against your LDAP server. DELEGATION should not cause any issue, however if you use CONNECTOR you would need to set the permission to "Read Only, with Local Groups".
Hope it helps.

Hi Septa,
thanks for your support! Exactly that did the trick, safed me a bunch of time. Thanks again :)
Cheers, David
