How to apply the markup to selected text in Confluence

Francois Dallaire April 11, 2013

I am evaluating Confluence 5. In the editor, I want to mark up the name of variables, methods or any code element so that it is enclosed with the <code> pair of tags in the HTML output.

I would expect to only have to select the text of the element name within the paragraph and apply a mark up as easily as setting the selected text to Bold. In an API documentation this would be a very frequent markup.

I can't figure out how to do this even after searching and reading numerous topics...

How can this be done?

Ok. I just found it.

Simply type text to mark up between {{ }}. Easy.
