How can i create a jira ticket with assignee and due date from confluence?

It seems like a simple thing for jira and confluence to be well integrated...

I want to capture minutes of meetings live in confluence and in the process to create a jira ticket with the task name, assignee and due date.

Is this possible?

The jira new ticket macro doesn't include these pretty basic fields as far as i can see.

Ideally I think I should be able to have the project pre-selected for my confluence project and add priority to make this quick and painless.

PS. I do not want to use confluence 'tasks' - not good enough for proper tracking and workflow.

This is not possible. If you want to set these fields, you have to create the issue in jira.
