Tim Dix August 20, 2019

Updated Confluence from 5.7 to 6.15.7 however now the service won't stay started. It keeps stopping with incorrect function being logged in event viewer

Hi @Tim Dix ,

Could You please provide more information? E.g. something logs?

Also if problem is critical I recommend send request to support team https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/

Hi Andrew,

Unfortunately the commons-daemon log only shows the service starting and not stopping, could you let me know if there is a more suitable log file?

As mentioned, in the Windows event logs there is a System log showing the service being terminated with a service error of "Incorrect function".

Thanks

Andrew

E.g. C:\Atlassian\Application Data\Confluence\logs

C:\Atlassian\Confluence\logs

It is happen regular? Maybe tomcat was freeze? Also I have problem with conf when set less memory, try increase for first time to max https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/increasing-jira-application-memory-861253796.html

Try kill process or restart system (I hope backup was made or it is test instance).

Check in task manager I suppose process should be call 'tomcat'
