Check marks disappeared

Hi All, I came across a problem with Confluence Wiki. My original document has some check marks, and when I exported it to PDF, those check marks disappeared. Plese see the attached files. 

Any ideas to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I'm assuming the checkmark is an image.  Try exporting to word first, and then convert word doc to pdf.

I'm seeing this issue as well, so still a bug 3 years later.
