Hi Everyone
We use Confluence internal directory and LDAP delegated authentication as our two directories, with Internal directory as the top most directory.
I have a user say abc on confluence who has internal account. and he wishes to use LDAP authentication. His LDAP user name is also abc.
How can i migrate this user from internal to LDAP?
If i change the order of directories will it help? Is this way recommended?
Rahul
Hi @Rahul Aich [Nagra],
By changing the order of the directories, user abc will be able to authenticate with his ldap credentials.
What about his/her group association? Will it be automatically associated against the new user in LDAP directory? Or should it be done manually again?
Lastly, what about the content managed by the old user in Internal directory. Will it all get automatically associated with the new user in LDAP?

Hi @prrichard,
The group association is done automatically along with the content. By changing the directories only the authentication is changed.
