Hi Atlassian Community,
My name is Tiffany Chung, and I’m a Product Manager on the Confluence Cloud team.
We heard your feedback that it’s difficult to convert each page to full width when creating. Users can set full-width as their own default for new pages, but admins wanted an easier way to do this globally. We’re happy to announce that site admins now have the ability to set full-width pages as the default!🎉
6.5% of non-template Confluence pages are manually published in full-width, making it a popular feature that changes the look and feel of your content.
How Site Admins Can Set Up Full-Width as Default
Select the settings wheel in the top right corner to open site settings.
Select Further Configuration from the sidebar (under Configuration).
Select Edit.
Select the Editor full-width Comments checkbox to enable full-width as the default for new pages.
Select Save.
Configure default full width pages in settings
All newly created pages will default to full width
Not a site admin? You can set full-width as your own default for your pages:
Select your profile picture from the right side of the navigation, then Settings.
Select Editor under Your Settings.
Select Edit.
Select Enable full-width as the default for new pages.
Select Submit.
