Creating Views in a DB require entry link visible if entry link details columns are to show data!

Hi, 

Came across an enoying use case. 

We have created a DB which has 2 entry links from other DBs and it becomes a really solid place contain all relevant information and data in a comprehensive view "All entries" 

However, We'd like to display a more condensed and filtered version creating another view and applying filters as appropriate which works great but as soon as I hide the entry link for which we use to pull other details to display it empties all data from those details columns. 

Shouldn't the expected behaviour with different views be that you can hide columns as you wish and they still display all the containing data as long as they are in the main "all entries" DB?
