Rename repository and solution name in Bitbucket and visual-studio

I want to change my repository and solution name of my project (cloned from open-source in GitHub), and to seep it to all the project and project history.

 but I don't want my project to be injured from this step,  

what is the best way to do it?
and is it better than creating a Nuget-package from this project (this is .Net project) and install it in new one?
