Newly installed virtual server

Hello

I have installed bamboo on a new virtual machine, which is supposed to supersede the bamboo server i have set up last week.

I am guessing the server id has changed, can I use the same license (the one I have generated for the older server's id) for the new server or do I need to generate a new one?

You can absolutely use the same license for the new server. Don't worry about the Server ID, there's no hard constraint linking them.
