We are migrating our atlassian tools from our data centre to the cloud. I have done trial migrations for crowd, jira and confluence. For each I created a local-admin account that I could use until I got the new User Directory configured to the migrated Crowd instance. BUt with Bamboo 5.12.3.1 it seems to either support local users only or Crowd users only. When I attempted to use local I got locked out before I could create a local admin user.
How can I create a local admin with a password I know - either in our data centre instance before I copy the data, or in the migrated copy afterwards?
Hi @David Mills
This is a known issue: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-17665
If for some reason your Bamboo server cannot contact your Crowd server anymore, thus preventing users to log into Bamboo, there's a workaround that will allow you to go back to the internal user directory configuration: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bamkb/bamboo-lost-connection-to-the-external-user-directory-preventing-users-from-logging-in-678691207.html
