I am using the Inject Bamboo Variables plugin to inject variables in the first stage of my build, using "Result" scope. The properties file used is produced by first running a script. Later jobs in later stages depend on these variables. If a job in a later stage fails, if we select the "Re-run failed/incomplete jobs only" option, should the same variables with the same values still be available? Or does each job need to use the Inject Bamboo Variables plugin with "Local" scope for this to work?
Yes, that's pretty much the point of "result" variables that they are persistent and available during rerunning and in manual stages. (unless you choose to rerun the entire plan of course, in which case the variables will be re-injected).
"Local" scoped variables are only accessible in the subsequent task of the same job.
