I was wondering what everyone's best practices are for terminating customers in Jira.
At the moment I have been revoking their access but I do see a delete access option too. I'd previously looked at documentation that suggested not to delete customers although I'm not sure why this was recommended.
One issue I've encountered is that I can no longer run a filter by a reporter with revoked access. I have to export all closed tickets to Excel and then filter by the reporter column to return results. Given they still exist but are inactive I would have thought this would have been possible.
It's unclear to me if deleting the customer has any undesired affects. I.e. If you lose any information from closed tickets like the reporter on a ticket which is of concern to me.
What are your experiences with these two options?
