How do you add approvals to workflows (Kanban)?

How do you add approvals to workflows in Kanban. For example, user XY must approve an issue before it can move from Test to Done. Thanks.

Do you meant that you want some sort of condition before you are able to drag and drop from Test to Done?

A board is just a visual level on top of you JIRA issues so you have to look at them:

Maybe you could create a custom field (flag) that only certain people can set (you could use a transition with the same target step for example) and put a condition on all the transitions leading to whatever statuses (steps) are mapped to your DONE column saying: "field must have value" (you get that with the following plugin https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.innovalog.jmwe.jira-misc-workflow-extensions ). That way the transition is only displayed if the issue had been "approved" by someone...

Cheers Christian

@Teck

Yes, for example, person x must approve it before it can move from one column to another

@Christian

Thanks, I will check into that.
