Portfolio fails to show Capacity View

Hi, I have recently faced this situation a couple of times at a client's site: they are setting up Portfolio plans, I want to show them how the Capacity view will help understand overbooking and planning gaps, I select Calculate - Capacity and... nothing happens! The timeline remains on screen, no error message, no freezing. I quickly switch back to Calculate - Schedule and proceed with my explanation. 

I am working on Portfolio 2.12 with Jira 7.4.2. Does anybody share the same experience? Is there some misconfiguration I should look for? Thanks.
