My Jira instance is using Jira Software 8.22.6 (Data Center)
Per Teams in Advanced Roadmaps ( https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver/teams-in-advanced-roadmaps-1044784181.html ) I enabled the custom Teams field (ID 13267) on my Data Center Jira instance and added the Teams field to Epic Issue Create, Edit, and View screens.
I populated the Teams field (ID 13267) for several Epics.
I then created a Jira Advanced Roadmap (JAR) with the intent to have the JAR's Team field display the Team values I'd defined in the Epics.
I tried to use the JAR's Teams tab to add the Teams I'd populated in the Teams field (ID 13267) for several Epics, but the teams were not selectable via the JAR's Teams tab.
I tried adding the custom Teams field (ID 13267) to the JAR via its Configure/Custom fields panel. However the panel shows Teams grayed out / unsupported. This seems contrary to the article I referenced above.
How do I enable the JAR to display a populated Team field?
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
If you want to display teams in Advanced Roadmaps, there already should be a custom field named "Team" in your instance: This field is locked from editing because you can add Teams via Advanced Roadmaps:
If you use this field, you should be able to group your roadmap by team:
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions :)
Greetings
Chris
Hi Chris, Thanks for the guidance. Adding the Team field (ID 14700) to our Jira Epic screens enabled shared Teams defined in a Jira Advanced Roadmap to be visible within a Roadmap and on Issues within Jira. My prior approach of adding the Teams field (ID 13267) was in error. Thank you.
