Advanced Roadmaps requires non-team project?

Can someone explain, are we supposed to recreate the project or can we upgrade it? Why does it exclude team-based projects?

We wanted to use Advanced Roadmaps with our existing project. Is there some other way

You'll need to create a new Company-managed project and move the issues into it.

Advanced Roadmaps was originally written for Server, before team-managed projects existed.   TMPs are very different in shape to CMPs, and AR simply can't yet work with them - TMPs don't share fields for example, and that means AR can't work with them.

OK thank you, are there other limitations to Team-managed projects? Like a smaller number of Addons/Plugins/Apps and things like that?

Yes, quite a lot.  The general limitation at the moment is that they are self-contained, and intended for a single team.  They are not built to do any cross-team working, beyond that you can issue-link to other projects.
