Search functionality : Cltr + F bug after the upgrade of the version

Hello,

As the search functionality in Portfolio is really slow, I use the Cltr+f of the navigator (chrome) which used to work well. After the migration to .13 the result of the search is only available for items shown at the screen.

For example, if an item is at the bottom of the page, it won't be given as a result of the Cltr+f.

any help why ?

Hi Amine,

In newer versions of Portfolio, the scope table is rendered differently for performance reasons. That is, it only renders the issues that are currently visible. CTRL+F will no longer work because the issues at the bottom of the table won’t actually be present on the page until you start scrolling to them.

This is required in order to keep the UI responsive with large numbers of issues.

I understand that many users were searching using CTRL+F due to the previous performance issues with the UI. Can you let me know, since the change, is the internal search working better for you?

Shannon

Glad to hear! Take care, and have a pleasant rest of your week.

Kind regards,

Shannon

@Shannon S

using the feature of search in Portfolio, I cannot find the Epic + its User Stories !!!

How can we search for an item and all its child ?

For example :

Initiative 001

              -> Epic 001 -> US 001

              -> Epic 002 -> US 001

                                 -> US 002

Hi Amine,

I would recommend raising this as a new question, as it doesn't appear to be caused by the issue originally asked.

Thank you for your understanding!

Regards,

Shannon
