Creating cross-project release

Hello All,

I am trying to create a cross-project release in Advanced Roadmap. As per one of the articles I read, once you create a cross-project release then after linking to projects it should be visible in individual projects. But I am not seeing such happening. Instead, as soon as I create a cross-project release it ask me to group releases from linked projects and nothing else. I saw few video on installing ADD-ONs but I want to know if there is something I am missing to achieve the result within JIRA itself?

Thank you.
